Call for papers: The Journal of Creative Design Science and Innovation (JCDSI), vol 1, issue 1. 2026
The Journal of Creative Design Science and Innovation (JCDSI)
The Journal of Creative Design Science and Innovation (JCDSI) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, diamond open-access journal. It is published biannually and now calls for original research papers, practice-led inquiries, case studies, curated exhibition reviews, and critical reviews as follows:
Original Research Articles – containing original research results. Conclusions will be of wide enough significance to apply beyond the particular study site or creative context, and this should be made clear in the discussion (8,000-word limit, including tables, figures, and references).
Practice-Led Inquiries & Case Studies – comprising a detailed investigation of a specific design process, creative project, or industry application. Submissions should demonstrate innovation in materials, processes, technologies, or systems related to creative design (8,000-word limit, including tables, figures, and references).
Short Reports/Communications – reporting results of original research or practice that can be presented in a concise format and of interest without wide reference to theoretical or geographical context. Results and Discussion sections may be conflated if so desired (4,000-word limit, including tables, figures, and references).
Curated Exhibition Reviews & Critical Reviews – debating or reviewing curated exhibitions, design events, books, or conferences. Includes critical engagement with contemporary artistic or design practices (up to 2,000 words).
